The Jefferson Messenger - Sept 9, 2017

The Jefferson Messenger

Edition 17 . September 9, 2017 . Volume 1
September 8, 2017 Citizens for Fair Representation v. Alex Padilla hearing  in Federal Court

Image drawn by Robert Exter
Well, we completed our 1st day in court. The number of supporters was an impressive 140 estimate. Though, only 60 people plus 10 plaintiffs were allowed to witness the 50 minute hearing. There were no speakers or video of the hearing proceedings for those citizens left to stand in the warm hallway. What of those who travelled hundreds of miles to witness this event?

According to the Federal Courthouse website:

Many federal courthouses are historic buildings, and all are designed for the public to visit and learn first-hand about the tradition and purpose of the American judicial process. The public may visit a court to watch each step of the federal judicial process, with few exceptions.
If this were true, then why would We the People be admonished for having phones, cameras and recording devices in the courtroom? If discovered, the court would confiscate and not return your property. We initially requested the larger courtroom for everyone to have access to witness this historic event, and in response the August 25th hearing date was vacated. In all actuality, the designing of the courthouse was to limit access to witnessing our judicial process.

Our next day in court, we pray Judge Mueller will grant the three judge panel, grant the hearing be placed the larger courtroom; and, allow the hearing be live streamed for all those interested. Then and only then will We the People have access to witness the hearing as proffered on their website.

So what happened?

Judge Mueller opened with direct questions towards Counsel regarding the judicial precedence, and representation numbers. Citizens for Fair Representation counsel Scott Stafne provided compelling response to her questions. And then after recognizing the defendant's counsel was still in the room (he remained quiet the whole time) directed a question to him - paraphrased, "Assuming the representation numbers were to be found unconstitutional, why not increase representation?" To wit, after a brief pause and inaudible murmurings, the Secretary of State's counsel replied, "Well, I had not thought of that." Brilliant response!

Judge Mueller asked a few more questions of Stafne and advised that she will allow our amended complaint with provisions of adding additional answers to her specific questions. This is great news!

The case is filed as 'Citizens for Fair Representation vs. Secretary of State Alex Padilla' You can follow the progress of the case as well as defendants & plaintiffs on the 2nd tab.  To read the documents you need a subscription. Click here or cut and paste:,_et_al_v_Padilla#
Citizens and Friends of Jefferson
Today was a great victory. Remember how we started? Remember how long it has taken to get where we are today? WE the people of Jefferson State are sueing the most powerful political entity in the United States of America. California politicians will do anything, will say anything, will stop at nothing to deny the people justice. They have proven this time and time and time again. That is what we and our legal team faced in court today and nothing less. The State fully expected the judge to send us packing. The State's arrogance has been mind numbing up to this point and it will get worse. As I have said time and again the Nasty part of this has just begun.
Yet our legal team just stood in front of a Federal Judge and we not only survived to fight another day but, based upon all reports, we have been given leave to amend our complaint in order to answer questions which the judge will supply to us. The Judge is going to tell us ahead of time exactly what she wants to know and we will amend our complaint to supply those answers. We have been given a great gift. Fore knowledge of exactly what is required to advance to the 3 judge court!!!
Think of it!!!!! The little people have survived the best the Mono party could throw at them. WE LIVE AND WE FIGHT AGAIN. No it was not the clear cut rout that we hoped for. Our legal team left the field with no casualties and the opportunity and path to victory more clearly defined than ever.
Our Legal Team, Gary, Scott and Michael know what they need to do. We know what we must do. Fight and never take no for an answer until our Liberty has been restored in the 51st state. A state created to ensure Liberty for future generations.
I am humbled and amazed at the greatness displayed by all of the committees and all of our people in the counties of Jefferson. A United purpose. A United spirit.
As soon as the Judge issues the written, order, our orders will be clear. We must prepare for the next battle in court. WE will get our 3 judge court. We will win. Our legal team will explain to the Judge that it is not the equality of the district that matters as much as it is the number of people in those equal districts that determines whether we have representation or whether we are servants and playthings for every social engineering and tax scheme our masters in Sacramento concoct for us. We must continue to raise money to aid in the suit. We have to hire expert witnesses and experts who can help us solidify our case with historic fact and statistical analysis. Lawsuits are expensive and ours is no different.
I mutually pledge to you, my life, my treasure and my sacred honor in our quest for Liberty. We will never quit and we will never take no for an answer. Please remember the fight is in front of us, and not behind. It is ours to win or to lose. As for me, I say lets win it.
I will lift up my eyes to the Lord, for that is where my help comes from.
The time has come for 51

One Step At A Time

As Herve' Leconte completed his trek across 500 miles of 15 of the 21 Jefferson Counties. His goal of bringing attention to the State of Jefferson can be deemed a great success.

What we've gained through this experience is the collaboration by the people in each of the counties who opened their doors and hearts to Herve' and his wife Julie. People in the communities along his route opened their homes and provided meals and arranged shelter to accommodate Herve' and Julie's travels. In each county, he and his wife were greeted with an outpouring of well-wishers who cheered for them as they approached each scheduled stop. And, on the final destination located in Yreka they were greeted with a band stand at the Siskiyou County Fair, hosted by Mark & Cyndi Baird.

Tales of his trip continue to be shared. Soon after leaving Amador County on his 500 mile journey, a vehicle accident started a fire directly in his path along on Highway 49 .  A couple of days later, Herve' and Julie were in Yuba County where two Sheriff's Deputies were shot. Because the suspect was still thought to be on the loose, a kind resident offered Herve' and Julie their garage, until all was clear. Special shout out to the kind Samaritan.

We all share a debt of gratitude to Herve' and Julie for their contribution towards Liberty with this Run for Representation event. The media enjoyed meeting and interviewing both Herve' and Julie and provided great coverage on the Run for Representation. We could not wish for better examples to define the importance of representation, freedom, and liberty and love of country that is the Jefferson Movement.

August 17th
The County Committees of Placer, Nevada and El Dorado hosted the first ever Tri-County State of Jefferson (SOJ) Town Hall, on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Auburn Garden Theater.

As the daylight grew shorter our meeting was on hyper drive to fit in music, County Committee speakers, the drawing, Herve' Laconte, and Mark Baird from Siskiyou County who is the founder and key spokesperson of this modern State of Jefferson movement. Baird offered information and updates about the Citizens for Fair Representation (CFR) lawsuit against the State of California, as well as the process to achieve representation, plus proposed policies for the 51st State.

The winner of the drawing for the FMK 9MM Side Arm was present at the rally and promptly claimed his prize. The winner of the Ballistic Compound Bow was not present but was contacted. We're still waiting to receive his delivery address and will ship to him when we get it. All proceeds were donated to the State of Jefferson Formation legal fund.

Thanks to all who attended the Leadership Forum meeting in Live Oak. I think that our time together provided us with insight, understanding and some very positive moves were made in the direction of unity.  We made progress, but we aren't there yet.  As a great man – Pastor Dave Bryan said, "The SOJ movement is currently experiencing "growing pains" and moving from its childhood into its "troubled teen years" of new self-awareness and identity issues".
The mantra throughout the day from Pastor Dave was that apart from operating with integrity and humility there is nothing more important to our success than keeping our eyes and focus on the goal line, which is the formation of the 51st state - The Mission.  As soon as we take our eyes and turn them towards others who we may disagree with on process or the obstacles in the immediate and distant future, we sink into despair and unnecessary turmoil.  Both dilute our effort and will minimize our success.

If anything came from that for me was that I learned that I don't know it all - I have a lot I can learn from others. I don't have the talent to accomplish the Mission without becoming a supportive part of a well-functioning team. I need to fall into line with the majority decisions unless they violate the Mission because a strong team can stand against the forces against us. If I desire to do a job and not selected to do it, and I care that the job gets done but I'm not the one to do the job, then I'm good with whoever does that job and will help wherever I can. I realize that I need to focus on self-improvement and not try to improve others, I need to improve myself. I learned from Pastor Dave that if this is a truly God ordained Mission (and it is), then we will succeed as I go before Him in humility, gratitude, surrender and dependence, eager to do all that He has called me to do.

I don't know about others that attended, but I left with a richness and gratitude to be part of something much bigger than me. A Mission with a God given purpose.

Conversations continue about communications and marketing, or lack thereof. Our inventory of communication venues continues to grow. County Committee Leaders are encouraged to share their marketing or outreach techniques on the Membership Only Basecamp communication tool. There is a Marketing Committee formed to provide outreach materials such as the Official Information and Business brochures, standard brochures and road signs. Our latest inclusion is the offers of several people willing to assist with the social media. Supporters with these talents are encouraged to contact their County Committee Leaders if they are interested in helping.

Our approach has always been the legal, moral and ethical approach to state split and to regain representation. We are looking to the Constitution of the United States of America for our remedy. No one knows what the future holds but we have a sound path to victory, all we need is the support of the people and a fair hearing in court.

We have enjoyed so much freedom for so long that we are perhaps in danger of forgetting how much blood it cost to establish it…
