Letter to the Editor: Lynn Morgan listens

Dear Editor:

I have lived in Pioneer since 1977.  From 1978 to 1996, I worked at the mill in Martell, where I was a member of the Lumber and Sawmill Workers' Union.  Like many people who live upcountry, I love to hike, fish and enjoy the outdoors.

During the drought, the bark beetles killed many trees on our property.  PG&E cut and limbed a number of them.  I tried for 18 months to find someone to haul them off, without success.

So, I called Supervisor Lynn Morgan.  She responded within a day and put me in touch with someone who is going to haul off our trees.  I am very happy she was able to help us in this way.

My wife, Cynthia, and I plan to vote for Supervisor Morgan's re-election. She listens to local residents and goes the extra mile to help them out.  We are very grateful to have her represent us on the county Board of Supervisors.
